Chris was a wonderful host at The Brookfield. He answered all our questions, helped with local and village information, and went above and beyond what we expected. Thank you! Our two rooms were spacious, beautiful and immaculate, with everything we needed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There’s coffee, tea and a continental breakfast in the breakfast area. It’s a quiet, restful place in a central location, and I highly recommend it.

The accommodation was really good, and Chris was polite and attentive. The bedroom was a great size, and the ensuite was clean, presentable and fully functional. We picked up food for the evening and were allowed to eat it in the conservatory. It was light and airy, with an excellent view of the garden, though the rain meant we couldn’t use the garden itself. Breakfast was continental, with a good choice of cereal, bread, croissants and fruit. My wife and I agreed it kept us going for the day. Getting there was a bit tricky at the very end. I followed the satnav and missed the turning, though luckily it brought me to Tesco, where I wanted to go the next day. The car park was also a little difficult unless you get one of the first or second spaces.

The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and had a bright outlook. But the continental breakfast was poor, and the general service was disappointing, with little effort and low quality. We don’t plan to return.

The room was bright and airy, with a really comfortable bed and clean, fully working bathroom. The whole house was spotless and had everything we needed. We were there for two nights for a wedding, and the continental breakfast had plenty for most people. The Brookfield is a lovely building and easy to find, with allocated off-road parking. The owners gave us such a warm welcome, they’re lovely people. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back when visiting family in Braunton.

The only awkward part was the small car park, which was tricky to manoeuvre in with a big car. In the dark, getting in or out would have been impossible. Still, it wouldn’t put us off coming back. Our double room was excellent, with a huge, comfortable bed and an en suite. Everything was spotlessly clean, the location was peaceful, and our host was friendly and helpful. There was also plenty of continental breakfast. We stayed on 27th April.
