Dinner in the restaurant was exceptionally tasty, nicely presented, and very good value for three courses. I spent a night in the luxurious Aldeburgh suit. The room was lovely, the bed really comfy and the bath excellent, but it’s a noisy hotel. With the single glazed windows, the road feels as if it’s right beside your bed. Saxmundham itself is unfortunately a very sad one horse town, with not much going on or to see.

Matthew and his staff made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived for our wedding anniversary. Matthew kindly upgraded us to a fabulous room. Lunch was a treat too, the crab crumpet from the Summer menu was superb. At dinner, the staff were attentive and professional, and there was a great choice of food for all tastes. Breakfast was delicious with a fabulous selection. Definitely one of our favourite places.

It’s a lovely, cosy hotel with nicely carpeted rooms, a clean bathroom and very comfortable beds. There’s a TV you can cast to and choose what to watch. The service was great and the food really good. It’s only a minute from Saxmundham station. Definitely recommend staying here.

The staff are lovely, the rooms very comfortable, and the food and beer are good. It’s a very pleasant hotel in a great spot for exploring East Anglia. This was my third visit over the last few years, and I’d happily recommend it and return.

A super little hotel. Room 8 was spacious and really comfortable, and all the staff were welcoming and helpful without making a fuss. I only ate there for breakfast, which was very good, with quality ingredients cooked just as requested.
