A lovely B&B at a good price, right between the town centre and beachfront. I’d absolutely recommend it and will stay again next time I’m in Scarborough. The hosts were friendly and attentive, the rooms spotless, and the mattresses very comfortable. Breakfast was more than I expected, with all the usual full English items and fish alternatives, plus a vegetarian choice. There was also plenty for a continental breakfast: fruit salad, a nice range of yoghurts, little packets of croissants, and more. You can ask for something special, like pancakes, and the hosts will make an effort to provide it.

The price was very reasonable, and being able to book online and pay when we arrived suited us perfectly. We were welcomed in a warm, down-to-earth way, and the room was clean and uncluttered. From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d be comfortable for our three nights. I’m writing this on the evening of 7th August, the day we arrived, because we’re already that satisfied. We’ll have breakfast in the morning, and I feel sure it’ll be great. If we come to Scarborough again, Bland's Cliff Lodge will be our first choice.

The hosts are fantastic and went out of their way to help, especially with sorting out parking. Breakfast had lots of choice, and the fry-up was generous and delicious. The rooms may be a little dated, as others have mentioned, but they’re very clean and have the usual tea, coffee, and biccies. With the windows shut, they’re quiet at night. This is a lovely B&B in a great spot, close to the beach and several pubs. We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area.
