Chomley Self Contained Holiday Flats

Flat 1 was roomy and had all the amenities we’d need for a longer stay, including a well-stocked kitchen. There was a lovely surprise basket with crumpets and prosseco. The owner communicated excellently before we arrived, and we had a great stay. Thank you!

The whole place was shabby, the bed was the worst we’ve ever slept in, and the air freshener smell was overpowering throughout the building. The towels were threadbare, though the host said they were brand new, and none of the toilets had locks. On the first day the shower didn’t work. The host came out straight away but couldn’t fix it, then a plumber restored the water. The next day it ran, but the water was cold, despite the host saying it was fine. Truly dreadful.

We had a clean, peaceful stay last week and loved the place. It’s close to everything, and getting a bus to South bay was easy. The owner was polite and knew a lot about places to visit and restaurants. Our grandchildren, who are 12, loved it too. We’ll be back.

This was good value for self-catering in a handy spot, about five minutes on foot from Peasholm Park and ten from North Bay beach. The apartment was basic, but it was clean and warm, with everything needed to cook for ourselves.
