I’m reviewing the pub, though I’m guessing the rooms are good too. The music suits me and my wife perfectly, lots of rock, soft metal and ballads, even if it won’t be everyone’s thing. The cider is inches and really hits the spot. I’ll be back, and next time I plan to stay in one of the upstairs rooms.

Everything was spotless and well looked after, from my room to the hotel hallways. You can take the lift or the stairs, and the location is excellent. My room was cleaned daily and the tea and coffee were replenished. The two staff members I spoke with, at reception and doing the room cleaning, were both lovely and friendly. Breakfast hours are a bit limited, though that only matters if you want a lie-in. I don’t often give five stars across the board, but this deserved it. I’d recommend it. 🙂

We were in town for a wedding and just needed somewhere to sleep and shower. The room was cosy and comfortable, right in the town centre. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a small selection, but it was just what we needed. We’d come back.

My husband and I have just got back from Scarborough, where we had a wonderful stay at Dickens Bar and Inn. The room was lovely, the food was great, and the staff welcomed and looked after us from the moment we arrived at the bar and inn. One of England’s best places to stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

The atmosphere is brilliant, and they have live music in the evenings. The singer’s voice is beautiful.
