The Ivanhoe was in a great spot for our weekend, and we had a great night's sleep on a really comfy mattress. We stayed from Friday to Sunday, got a super-warm welcome, and had a great big room. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Would recommend. Good luck for the future.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but we ate here near Halloween. The food was great and reasonably priced. Our meal was delayed, but the staff were great about it and offered us all free desserts. It’s dog friendly too.

We came in for food because the board outside said it was served until 7pm. At 6.15, we were told it only ran until 6. Change the board, simple! Now we have to finish our drinks before we can go find our tea. We’ll never come back, and I can see why this place keeps failing. They never seem able to get competent people to run it!

We booked online ahead and stayed two nights in our campervan. It cost £10 a night and we could use the toilet 24/7. The flat car park was very quiet overnight, and we felt safe. Staff behind the bar gave us a warm welcome. The Sunday lunch looked lovely, and the customers eating said it was really good. It’s a pleasant 15-minute walk to North Bay and about 45 minutes to South Bay. The bus stop near Tesco express is just a few minutes away, making it easy to visit Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby. We didn’t stay in the rooms, so I can’t comment on them. Downstairs in the bar, the staff were lovely and welcoming, and the place was kid friendly. The homemade food was lovely, the atmosphere was great, and the prices were fairly cheap. We’ll 100% be back again ☺️
