We’d booked two separate rooms, but on arrival the friendly, helpful reception staff moved us into a family room at no extra cost. It was clean and spacious, with lovely views. Parking cost £1 for 48 hours, which was hard to fault. Really impressed, thank you.

The location was good, parking was easy, and the deluxe family room was a decent size and clean. The staff were friendly too. A few things didn’t work well for our family of four. The double beds felt very small, and there was just one mirror in the bathroom, which wasn’t useful when drying my hair. The area with the kettle felt neither like a proper kitchen nor a dressing table. There was also only a small table and two chairs for all four of us. We stayed one night.

We had a huge ground-floor room for our couple of nights, and it was lovely, beautifully clean, and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was good, and the free WiFi worked perfectly. There were plenty of sockets, each with a USB port. At reception we spotted little baskets with extra tea, coffee, milk, sugar and loo rolls, a thoughtful touch. For the price, it’s one of the nicest places my husband and I have stayed. We’ll definitely come back.

The woman on reception was lovely, and I appreciated the free toothbrush in its box. It’s about a ten-minute walk into town, with lots of shops and bars. I’d chosen the place after reading its TripAdvisor reviews, so I was a bit disappointed. The room looked okay, but the hard bed meant I slept badly. The window only opened partway and the room got unbearably hot. There was nowhere to hang a towel, and the cold tap didn’t work. I was glad I’d brought bottled water in that heat.

Our family room was clean and nice, and the property was fairly quiet in a good location. The seafront is only a short walk away, around 5-10 minutes. There was a TV, though it only picked up two channels, lol. A nice stay overall.
