Brian, the owner, made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. He’s attentive, approachable and clearly cares about looking after guests. I travel to Scarborough regularly for work and, after trying several local hotels, this family run place has been my best experience. The rooms were spotless, the cleanest I’ve encountered, and everything felt fresh, well kept and thoughtfully arranged. It was easy to settle in after a long workday. The atmosphere is peaceful and friendly, and the service feels personal. Brian made it clear he was happy to help with any concern or request, and he meant it. That kind of care is rare in larger chain hotels. The place feels welcoming for both work trips and holidays, almost like a home away from home where you’re treated as part of the community. I recommend staying here and supporting this lovely establishment. It’s a hidden gem in Scarborough, and I’ll definitely return. If you want comfort, cleanliness and genuine hospitality, this is a good choice.

Brian made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and even carried our bags upstairs. He let us know our room was ready early and really went out of his way to make the stay a good one. The room was lovely and clean, with plenty of space and a bed as big as ours at home. I was also pleased to find a socket for my toothbrush, which you don’t get in many hotels. We only had breakfast on Sunday, but it was cooked perfectly. Can’t fault the place. We’ll definitely book here again next time we visit Scarborough. ❤️

The hosts were so warm, friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were comfortable, modern and tastefully decorated. Breakfast had an amazing range of choices, and the bar was well stocked. The hotel is ideally placed for getting to both North and South Bays. It was an unexpected delight, and I’ll definitely return. Thanks so much, Brian and Costa.

We had a lovely meal and a warm welcome from Brian and Costa. The hotel is in a quiet spot, handy for North Bay, Peasholm Park and the Open Air Theatre, with the town centre not far away. There are sea views from the dining room, bar and some bedrooms. Wish we’d found this gem years ago. We’ll be back!

Our family room at The Norlands was spacious, modern and very clean, with everything we needed. We stayed for the first time over the August bank holiday weekend and had a brilliant time. Brian and Costa were friendly, helpful hosts who made us feel at home. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. My daughter especially liked the mushrooms that came with my cooked breakfast. She asked for some with her own breakfast the next morning, and Brian and Costa were happy to add them. They really are delicious. The Norlands is in Scarborough’s North Bay, an easy walk from the Open Air Theatre, Alpamare Water Park, the beach and Peasholm Park. We had a great stay and will definitely return.
