The location and sea view were both fabulous, and we hope to visit again. Sarah was a lovely host who worked tirelessly and was keen to help us make the most of our time, both at the hotel and in town. Our room was clean, comfortable and newly refurbished. It was a little small, but we could have asked for or booked a bigger one, so that was our fault. It worked fine for the couple of days we stayed. Harry deserves a special thank you for the wonderful breakfasts each morning. I’d recommend eating here, the produce and value would be hard to beat. Thanks to Sarah and her husband too, even though we sadly didn’t get to meet him. They clearly work hard to make guests’ stays a genuinely lovely experience.

The Rockside has fantastic views across the bay, and the rooms are spotless, comfortable and nicely presented. Darrell & Sarah made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast, and the honesty bar was a pleasant surprise. It’s a friendly, family run place and I’d recommend it. We’ll come back to enjoy it again. The sea view room was immaculate, and the honesty bar showed how much trust and kindness Sara and daryl put into their guests. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. We hadn’t been on holiday for quite some time, and they made it special. From explaining the parking payment to making us feel welcome, Sara and daryl were extremely professional, which I really admire. The breakfast was fantastic too. We stayed at the rockside from the 2nd of June till the 7th of June. It was our first time in Scarborough, so we didn’t know what to expect. Highly recommended, this hotel should be 5 star. The smiles from the two sons helping their parents serve breakfast brightened our day, and the breakfast itself was excellent. We stayed at this lovely family-run place on the seafront, with views of Scarborough castle and the whole North Bay from our room. We even had the rare chance to see a rainbow over the sea. The honesty bar was new to us at a B&B. Guests could have drinks and pay the following morning. One thing that needs attention: when guests stay for more than four days, the bins should be emptied and the room attended to without them having to ask. Guests are paying for that service. I understand hospitality is short staffed, but this should still be essential.
