The breakfast had plenty of choice and was cooked perfectly, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I also found the room's information booklet more informative than any I've seen before. The room itself was warm and spacious, with lots of drawers, a wardrobe, iron and board, and a hairdryer. We arrived before check-in at 1pm and went into the cafe for coffee. We mentioned we were checking in, and they gave us our key and took our bags up while we enjoyed our very nice coffee. We'll definitely stay again next time we're in Scarborough.

The dining room and cafe were lovely, and the food was excellent. Staff were lovely too. Our room was great, with lovely beds, towels and linen, and I'd happily spend a week in room 7. The building is wonderful and beautifully decorated. I love this grand part of Scarboro.

The owner paid close attention and explained everything we needed to know, and the staff were really welcoming. Service was second to none, and the price was fantastic. Every room was pristine, modern and extremely clean, with plenty of tea, coffee and sugar in the room. I couldn't have asked for better. If you want good value, this is the place. I'll definitely come back for more than one day.

This was our second stay at Rowntree Lodge, and Clare was just as friendly and welcoming as before. Our Superior room on the top floor was immaculate, and the super king bed was so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud. Tea and coffee, complimentary shower gel and hand wash, a hair dryer, iron and free WiFi were provided. We arrived a little earlier than expected, but the room was ready. There was a small mix-up with breakfast, quickly sorted out, and the meal was delicious. We look forward to coming back to Rowntree Lodge on our next Scarborough visit.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with generous portions and lots of choice. Great value for money, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
