We liked our stay enough to add two more nights. Using our blue badge, we could park free for 24 hours right across from the Gurst House. The room and bathroom were very clean, the breakfast was excellent every morning, and the host made us feel welcome. We especially enjoyed sitting in the two comfortable armchairs by the bay window and looking out to sea. We'd booked four nights to relax whatever the weather, and the Press Reader app through Wakefield Library let us read the daily papers and loads of magazines for free. We also had excellent lasagne at the Italian restaurant at the top of the road, and took the Coast Rider bus from the railway station to Whitby and Fiiley. The one drawback was the amount of furniture in our room. Getting to the bathroom at night felt like navigating an obstacle course.

We only booked one night at Serenity Guest House at the last minute, but were very glad we did. The owner was warm and friendly from the start, and the whole place was immaculate. We slept very well in the exceptionally comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and everything nicely presented. We'd gladly return and would recommend staying here.

The view at breakfast was lovely, looking across the Bay towards the Grand Hotel while the fenicula tram went down to the sea front. The location also made it easy to walk to Scarborough spa or the shops. We've stayed at The Serenity Hotel twice and have had tremendous hospitality both times. The beds are so comfortable and breakfast is delicious. We'll be back.

Steven gave us a friendly, warm welcome, and check-in was easy. We had a lovely five-night stay, with a very comfortable bed and a tasty breakfast. The rooms were just right, and the central location was handy for the Spa and town centre. We're looking forward to coming back in September. Highly recommended.

The host and staff were so welcoming and friendly, and it's in a brilliant location. Our room had what we needed, including towels and toiletries, and they'd made up an extra bed for our son before we arrived. A fan would've been useful, though we were lucky enough to visit on the hottest day of the year.
