There were crisps and little sweets to help yourself to in a separate small room, a really nice extra. Breakfast was varied and high quality, and the hosts were very friendly. Our room at The Cavendish was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well maintained. We had a very pleasant stay, would love to return, and can highly recommend it.

The breakfast was outstanding: a made-to-order hot selection, cooked beautifully with quality ingredients, plus fresh fruit, yoghurt, nuts, seeds, spreads, and juices to help yourself to. The coffee was amazing, and I couldn’t believe the price. The room was immaculate, with gorgeous bedding, a very comfortable bed, special tea and coffee facilities, and lovely bathroom products. It’s easy to walk into Scarborough and made a great base for Whitby and Castle Howard. Thank you, Neale & Lis, for such a perfect stay. We’re usually very much hotel people and were a little unsure at first, but the reviews persuaded us to try The Cavendish, and I’m so glad we did. It’s a traditional B&B in its decor and service, old-fashioned without feeling tired, and the features are complemented by more modern touches and colour schemes. I’m very fussy, and it was spotlessly clean. We really can’t thank you enough.

The room was bright and airy, with a comfortable bed, good furnishings, and plenty of storage. We appreciated the little extras, including the ‘Pantry’ with light snacks and refreshments, and ironing facilities on the first-floor landing if needed. There was an extensive breakfast menu, and the service was excellent. Thanks, Lis and Neale, for a lovely couple of nights. We had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Our hosts made an effort to check we were OK and remembered our names when they spoke with us, which we appreciated. Room number 3 was spotless, spacious, and had high ceilings, ornate coving, and a very comfortable bed. There were plenty of amenities, plus a pantry and a fridge with fresh milk. Breakfast choices were varied; we enjoyed the perfectly cooked full English, which was a generous portion, as well as the continental options. Parking was easy on the street with a permit from the hosts, and it was an easy walk to the seafront and town. We were staying for a gig at the open air theatre and knew we’d be further away than we wanted, but preferred this place to the closer options, which didn’t look as nice. Cabs were easy to book and cheap, around £8 each way. We were very pleased with the whole stay and recommend it.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and our full English was made with great-quality produce and cooked perfectly. There were also cereals, fresh fruit, and yoghurt. The guest pantry was another nice touch, with a fridge holding bottled water and juice, plus snacks to help yourself to. Our spacious room was immaculate, and the hospitality tray had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and fresh milk that was topped up daily. The bathroom had good toiletries and large towels. Neale & Lis welcomed us as soon as they opened the door, and we’ve really enjoyed our stay. We’d highly recommend The Cavendish and will be back. You guys are amazing, thank you.
