The Crescent Hotel

Our large group had a fabulous festive meal yesterday. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Huge thanks to Richard, who managed the drinks, took and delivered our order, cleared the table, and kept our glasses topped up all by himself. Well done! I’d definitely recommend this place. Superb.

We loved staying in central Scarborough for the first time. The Crescent is comfortable and clean, with several seating areas, pleasant staff and excellent food, especially at dinner. Its position made it easy to get around town and the resort without using the car. We’d recommend it to our friends and would gladly stay again.

There’s a lovely oval park right across the street, with paths down to the seafront and the beautiful South Cliff gardens. From the hotel, the town centre, train station and South beach area are all within walking distance. It’s quiet and reasonably priced. Our third-floor room was a bit small but nicely appointed, and the wifi worked very well. There wasn’t a mini-fridge, which might be worth considering in a future renovation. The front desk staff were kind and always ready to help. A great choice for a short visit to this stunning coastal town.

We held a family meal here on Saturday for my dad’s 80th birthday. The food was first class, and everyone said how nice it was. We felt comfortable and weren’t rushed. From our first contact with the hotel to the evening itself, the team were friendly, helpful and hospitable. A big thank you, especially to Nadine.
