The owners made us feel very welcome during our short break, and the hotel was bright and clean. Breakfast was lovely, with the team happy to work around what my young grandsons could eat. They’re already asking to come back, and we certainly will.

The family’s warm welcome made our visit to The Stuart Hotel especially nice. They were happy to help with anything, and there was even homemade shortbread waiting in the room. The room was comfortable, and breakfast had a big selection. We were in Scarborough to see Tom Jones and would definitely stay again. Many thanks, June Crookes.

I asked about booking for next year, a family room and a double for 10 days. At first they were very helpful, but after they learned I was a single parent, I never heard back. Others have told me the owners are unfriendly to single parents and that it’s a very middle-class hotel. If you want to have fun on your Scarborough holiday, my advice is to steer clear.

Helen was a friendly, helpful host, and I’d recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone. I had a fantastic stay at the Stuart house hotel. The rooms were spacious, modern, and clean.
