The pork loin and venison were both tasty and well sized, and the potato dumplings with the venison were especially good. We also shared a small plate of cured ham and pickles. Everything was nicely presented and fairly priced. Our drinks were ordered promptly, and the service stayed quick, friendly, and attentive. The dining room upstairs has a pleasing old-meets-new feel. Downstairs you enter through the bar, while outside the historic mill sits beside a fast-flowing stream, with tables and benches under the trees at the end of a dead-end road. Our B&B host, who runs a cookery school about ten minutes away, recommended Sculthorpe Mill, and we're glad we listened.

The care in the preparation and presentation really stood out, and the food was delicious. We had a fantastic lunch and are already hoping to return, maybe for a stay next time.

The menu has me keen to return soon, the food was sublime. The historic water mill is a lovely place to spend time, with a beautiful outdoor area as well as a striking interior. It feels warm and cosy, but the colours on the walls and furniture give it a fresh, distinctive look.

The fish was cooked just right, with fresh seasonal garnishes, and the buttermilk pannacotta with Rhubarb was really nice too. It was a lovely lunch in beautiful surroundings. I can't comment on the rooms or the evening service.
