The welcome was lovely, with red velvet cake, and check-in was easy. We had a fabulous, spotless room and bathroom, quality toiletries, and a really comfortable bed. The bifold doors looked out over the countryside and Alpacas. Breakfast was piping hot, delicious, and had plenty of choice. The staff were helpful and informative, and went out of their way to make everything right. My wife and I have just got back from one night and will definitely return.

Faith and her team made us feel at home, even with the British weather turning awful. The rooms are beautifully done, and the beds and pillows were genuinely top tier. We also loved the homemade fresh breakfast, the patio, living room and dining room, plus the good range of drinks. It’s a lovely, quieter spot to unwind in the Lake District, away from the busier places. We’d happily recommend it and would consider coming back. Thanks, Faith, for making our stay memorable.

The hot tub is a must, and there’s a lovely range of breakfast choices. Faith, the owner, was super friendly and welcoming. We’ve just come back from four nights at this beautiful, peaceful place with fantastic scenery.

The location is beautiful, the rooms are fantastic, breakfast was awesome, and the staff were great. We’ve just spent two nights at 1692 and everything was faultless. It absolutely lives up to the reputation and reviews here. Would love to come back one day. 10/10 all round. 👍👍

A great spot for getting to Scafell pike, with lovely food, amenities and service. I especially appreciated having a bath after a day hiking. Highly recommend.
