The food is amazing, and the guest house is every bit as cheerful as Gill and Dave, bright and sunny. They’re welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make things comfortable and enjoyable, and know the surrounding area well enough to answer questions. Some of the other guests told us they’d been coming back for years. Without a doubt, this is the best guest house we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend it.

Two minutes’ walk to the beach, with sea views and plenty to see and do in Seaton. Dave & Gill are warm, friendly and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic, the best around, and there’s lots of it. We came back on June 19 and again found Gill and Dave so welcoming. The rooms were fantastic too. Thanks, Gill and Dave.

Our room, no.3, was spacious, with a very comfortable king sized bed, plenty of storage, and two leather chairs that were easy to move to the window for a long look at the wonderful panarama. The bathroom was roomy, with a good sized shower cubicle, soft close loo seat, and plenty of towels. There’s a decent hair dryer, Freeview TV and tea, coffee and chocolate-making facilities. The chocolate gets replenished daily, or you can help yourself in the breakfast room, and fresh milk is in the fridge. Breakfast was a lovely way to start the day, with fresh fruit, cereal, juices, and an exceptional full English cooked just right. There were jams, marmalades and honey in generous glass pots, plus toast and real butter. The house, which Gill said was built in 1881, is superbly furnished with interesting local bits and pieces, tasteful and not cluttered. It’s well kept, and although it’s a business, it feels like Gill and Daves home. We arrived by chance and were treated like old friends. Would I stop here again? He'll yes, again and again. A marvellous, accommodating couple and a beautiful house. Thank you from us both.

Gill and Dave were wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast excellent, and everything was perfect.
