The food was what blew me away. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place tucked into a bend in the road outside Carlton, but the Turkish dishes were done so well. The flatbread, hummus, grilled meats and salad were all delicious. We liked it enough to come back the following week for lunch and try different things from the menu. Superb again. One thing to know: at lunchtime the restaurant can look closed from outside, but it isn’t. Go in through the car park. Updated 2025-10-25, we were back for lunch for the second week in a row.

We’d read the negative reviews before deciding to give the place a try. The food was gorgeous. My lamb shank was succulent and came away from the bone easily. The other person had something like a mixed grill. One piece of chicken was a bit tough, but the rest of the meat was gorgeous. Service was quick, and the waitress was cheerful and enthusiastic. She noticed the music was too loud and turned it down. It was also great to see the menu clearly mark gluten-free and dairy-free options.

The service was quick and attentive, and the Turkish food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The sucuk, chicken Iskander and baklava are especially worth trying. The bread is to die for too.

We only managed to take photos of the food since we were part of a larger group, but it looked as good as it tasted. The service was thoughtful and very accommodating, which made for a lovely afternoon. We'll definitely come back.

The chef clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does, and you can see why. We had a generous sharing platter of meats on bread, with chips, rice and salad. Really enjoyed it.
