Flt 3 Bank House Settle Yorkshire Dales

The staff made us feel very welcome and were helpful throughout. We stayed one night, and the rooms were clean and warm, with good facilities, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and more. The bathroom was huge. Dinner was venison pie and pork belly, then dessert, and we enjoyed it all. Breakfast was delicious and a very good size, even if the big plates make it look smaller at first. There are smaller plate choices and vegetarian options too, and the yogurt and fruit side was fresh and plentiful. Though the rooms are above a busy pub, we didn’t find it noisy. The bed was softer than we usually like, but we both slept well, so that wasn’t a problem. We had a lovely stay and would happily return. Settle is a very sweet little village.

The main woman at the bar really knows her stuff, and the service was friendly and impressively efficient. The local beers were good, and the food was excellent. I had the chicken supreme with roasted vegetables two nights running. A really decent spot for a drink and a meal.

The sausage and mash was nicely balanced and beautifully presented. It felt like restaurant-quality food at pub prices.

The ales are wonderful, and we’ve loved coming here. Locals and visitors both seem to flock to this welcoming place. The staff are friendly and really efficient, giving it a homely feel while staying professional. I find the attention to detail thrilling to see. If I ever ran a place, this would be my blueprint. It caters for all sorts.
