A roaring log fire greeted us after the long journey, which was so welcoming. The cottage is close to the village, and we spent the week exploring different walking routes. It was just as nice to stay in some afternoons, as we felt at home. Lovely views, comfortable furnishings, and honestly, I couldn’t fault a thing. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked again for next year.

The kitchen was really well equipped, so cooking Christmas dinner was easy. We chose this little place for a quiet Christmas and had a lovely getaway. The multi-fuel burner, central heating and thick duck-down quilt kept us cosy. The small back yard looks onto a pretty mill pond. It was damp and rainy, so we only managed one short walk along the pond towards the mill, but still had a great time.

We had a good week at the cottage. It’s basic but reasonably clean, and dogs are allowed. The shower wasn’t great and the cottage was drafty, if I had to complain about anything, but that’s not the end of the world. We had some great walks.

We had a lovely warm cottage, with both heating and a fire. It had everything we needed, and the area was great for walks. The decor was really nice too.

We had such a good time here. The cottage was lovely, and the setting was peaceful.
