The food is excellent, all home cooked, with a great range at breakfast each morning. Joan and Chris are such good hosts, and we’ve always enjoyed staying at Hayes Barton. It’s easy to walk down to the seafront if you don’t mind hills, and the place is lovely for a quiet, relaxing break. We can’t fault it and would highly recommend it.

I’ve been visiting for six years, and Joan and Chris have impressed me every time with their standards. The rooms are spotless, the breakfasts superb, and the homemade meals terrific. Fantastic hosts. If I could give six stars, I would.

Joan made our stay extra special because we were celebrating our Ruby Wedding anniversary. The food was superb, as always, and it was a wonderful visit. Thank you to Joan, Chris, Jean and all the team x

Had a really good stay. The owners and staff were lovely, and our room was nice with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb, especially the sausages, which you have to try.

A lovely place for a quieter, discerning guest. The guest house is beautifully appointed and serves outstanding home-cooked food. The beach and Chine are easy to get to from here.
