The roof terrace is stylish, and there’s a proper restaurant in the building. It’s a new, modern office, with themed spaces and good air conditioning throughout. Entry is tightly restricted to people with permission. When you first walk in, the lobby could easily pass for a hotel. I work from home most of the time, but this is my main office base, and it’s one of the nicest places I’ve worked during my career.

The room was good and the facilities were great. It could use a cosmetic refresh, though. We really enjoyed our stay.

I haven’t seen the new offices, but I’m glad the building has kept the name of the old hotel. My dad was its General Manager in the early to mid 80s. I loved visiting, and even lived there for a while when we first moved to Sheffield. Thank you.

There are several car parks nearby, and the railway station is about a 10-minute walk away. It’s a modern, very good workspace in central Sheffield.

We’ve been let down by HSBC. In recent years, competitors have moved ahead, and we’ve had a string of problems: our business account was frozen without a good reason, and direct debits to essential suppliers were stopped without warning. During a national lockdown, we were offered a financial incentive to visit a branch for a transaction, putting us and the staff at risk. They charge £8 to do it by phone, while branch service is free. A real disappointment for customers and employees alike.
