For one night in Sheffield for a gig by The Exploited, this place was just right. It’s not the Hilton, but it was great for the price and among the nicer places I’ve stayed. The host was so welcoming and helpful, it felt like visiting a family friend.

The room was spacious and very clean, just right for what we needed, and we’ll definitely return. We’d been a little unsure because it was some distance from where we were meeting our friends, but the host was so friendly and did everything he could to make us comfortable. Hats off to him, he really went out of his way to make the stay pleasant.

We needed somewhere to sleep, and the place did the job. The host was lovely and the bathroom was lovely and communicable. We stayed in the larger room, but it needs maintenance and a proper clean. I wasn’t convinced the bedsheets were clean.

For the night I was there, I was happy with what I got and have no complaints. It’s a guest house, or what contractors might call reasonably priced digs, so don’t expect anything fancy. It does what it’s meant to do, which is provide a cheap room to sleep in. The owner was friendly and welcoming. There are two washrooms, a shower room on the ground floor and an upstairs bathroom with a toilet and an over-bath shower. Breakfast wasn’t included in my tariff, so I can’t comment on it.

It’s close to the city centre, with free on-street parking, friendly staff and a clean shared bathroom. The room itself had spider webs and mould, and the walls were stained and clearly needed repainting. The bedsheets weren’t clean either, though they gave me clean ones when I asked.
