Hob Lane Farm B & B

Lisa made sure the cottage was warm and well lit for our late arrival, which we really appreciated. She’d also left us a bottle of bubbly for our first wedding anniversary. We were there as a family of four, two adults and children aged five and three. The cottage was much bigger than we expected, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. We were lucky with the weather and didn’t spend much time indoors. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot with lovely views, though still only a 10-15 minute drive from amenities. There are three large steps up into the cottage and more inside, with plenty of hanging and cupboard space. The track is uneven but fine if you take it slowly. Lisa was easy to reach and quick to respond. Thank you.

The woodland was lovely for the children to run and play in, and they got to meet and feed Lisa’s ponies. Lisa also brought fresh eggs from her hens and suggested a marvellous pub for dinner, Old horns inn. With breathtaking views, the cottage was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was an ideal, really special place for a family stay. We had a perfect time at Lisa’s cottage and hope to come back next year. Thank you, Lisa!

The garden and woodland next door were perfect for our two dogs, and a lovely place for us to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views. There are lots of walks straight from the cottage, with great pubs and places to eat nearby, and Sheffield is easy to get to as well. We had a relaxing break in this spacious, comfortable cottage in a beautiful area. The beds were very comfortable, and the hosts were lovely and helpful.

Lisa was a fabulous host and left us fresh goodies on the doorstep. The cottage was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and the views were beautiful. It’s only a few minutes from the main roads. We had a fabulous weekend at Hob Lane Farm and highly recommend staying here!
