Student Only Central Quay

The place feels safe and well managed, and the location near Kelham Island is lovely and calm while still close to Sheffield city centre. It usually takes around 10-15 minutes to get to Sheffield Hallam University or the city centre. For the money, I found it very good value and would recommend it to other students. What made my stay feel like home was the friendly atmosphere and regular social activities. Celebrating festivals was especially meaningful when I was missing home. Charlie, Lisa and the rest of the staff are kind, approachable and helpful. They listen to concerns and try to sort things out quickly. The rooms and rest of the area are excellent and clean. The main thing to improve would be cleaning, especially the outside windows and more regular cleaning of the flat’s kitchen and shared areas at a fixed time.

Central Quay feels like a kind, positive place to live. Staff communicate well and will try to help when you bring them a problem. There are clear rules about looking after the premises, and cameras monitor who enters and leaves, which adds to the sense of safety. They’re also careful with parcels. I was away for a few days, but mine was kept safe and easy to collect. I had to confirm my identity as a precaution. If you lose your key or card and get locked out, posters show the number to call, and help usually arrives quickly.

After arriving in the UK, this was my first place to stay, and it’s been the best. The rooms are bright and clean, and all the necessary facilities are provided. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the festivals and events give students a chance to meet each other. It really feels like a home away from home ❤️

Starting a new life as an international student can feel lonely, but Central Quay’s lovely staff make sure you’re doing well. You can always ask the reception team if you need to know anything. I’d recommend booking a room with a good view so you can wake up to a beautiful sunrise. The other amenities you might need are top notch.
