The Dalbury and Palmer

I’ve never written a review before, but our recent stay made me want to. My wife and I were going to a concert across town and needed somewhere to park, leave our bags and sleep for the night. We were made to feel at home straight away by the warmest people, who helped us sort parking and a taxi to the concert without any fuss. When we came back to the hotel a bit worse for wear, they looked after us again, and we headed off to bed for a good night’s sleep. The room was clean and perfectly fine, the place was peaceful, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The place is sound, it really is, and the owners are great people. We’d definitely stay again. Thanks for having us! Kendalls x

We only booked for one night because we had a funeral the next day, but what a find. The room was huge and clean, the bed was comfortable and the suite was spacious. It was brilliant that dogs are welcome, too. The manager was incredibly helpful, lovely and friendly. Highly recommend.

Kath, the manager, was very accommodating, and having off-street parking was excellent. Our room was clean and fresh; the ensuite was very small, but worked well. It suited our needs perfectly.

We stayed at the house for one night as a family. It was dirty and stinky, and there were bees. My husband got stung by one. When we reported it, we were told, ‘It’s the time of year’. No apology at all. A waste of money.
