We had a fantastic wedding at the Sitwell Arms in April, from the ceremony through to last orders. Karen was our contact and always got back to us quickly. Sharon ran the day and was lovely, ready to help with anything we needed. We’re very chill brides, so that wasn’t much! Lake access cost extra, but I think it was necessary for the best photographs. The cheesecake we upgraded to was absolutely delicious. We had a three course wedding breakfast, and my only real complaint was that the potatoes were a bit dry. Maybe we got a bad batch, since the other guests didn’t complain. If that was the only thing to go wrong, we were lucky. I didn’t have any of the evening buffet because I was busy partying, but the feedback we got was that it was lovely. A few guests found out that early check-in costs £10 per hour, per room. Our ceremony was at 1330, but check-in wasn’t until 1400. The rooms could do with an upgrade, though they didn’t affect our day. I’d definitely recommend the venue.

The staff kept us updated about possible delays and checked the food was all okay before the DJ announced it was ready. We booked two years in advance and had regular wedding meetings, which kept us informed and made those two years fly by. Our wedding day on 28th May 2026 was amazing from start to finish. We’ll definitely come back for food. Thank you for making the day so special, and for letting our beloved doggo attend for the wedding photos.

We sat outside for tea with my missus and our three dogs (5/6/26), and had a great evening. From the moment the barman asked what we wanted, we felt looked after. There was a great selection of drinks, and the food was tasty with plenty of it. The staff made our evening dog walk brilliant. We’ll definitely be back, and we won’t need supper tonight!

Everything was cooked fresh, and the food was outstanding. I’d recommend the teabags all day long. We booked a night’s stay with dinner, then chose from the main menu for a slight supplement. The bar team were attentive, and everyone on shift gave us a warm welcome. Our room was lovely and very clean, though the heating was too high. I’d come back and definitely recommend it.

The three course dinner for my partner’s 60th was spot on, with a great choice of options, lovely flavours, and presentation that felt current. Thanks to the chef, and to George and Harry, who were lovely and looked after our guests in the lounge near the entrance. It was a special surprise that brought all the family together and made so many memories. The event lady was welcoming and helped with my needs, from the table plan to picking menus. The reception ladies were amazing when things got stressful. The whole party was fab from start to finish. Thanks, Shaun and family. My own 60th is soon, so let’s see what happens.
