Blairmains Guest House

I stayed for one night on a business trip, and the quiet room made all the difference. Even though it’s near the road, I couldn’t hear the traffic and slept really well. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and everything was clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Heather and Paul were very friendly and welcoming. The place is basic, but cosy, and I agree with the other positive reviews.

Seeing the ponies was a lovely bonus. The room was cosy, the owners were incredibly friendly, and the guesthouse was spotless. Breakfast was fantastic too, it really felt like a home away from home. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The horses around the scenic area made for a relaxing stay, and the hosts were incredibly gracious. We also appreciated the little shared kitchen, where we could keep a few things in the fridge. Getting to either Glasgow or Edinburgh was easy, despite being right beside the motorway. It was surprisingly quiet indoors, with no traffic noise at all. We booked through Booking.com, found it very affordable, and loved the breakfast included in the price. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
