For cleanliness and comfort, I’d give it 5 out of 5. The room was perfect, very clean, warm and welcoming. I’d suggest having someone at reception from 3pm to 8pm for arrivals. We also struggled to reach anyone because the number on the door wasn’t working.

I’m thankful we only stayed one night. The smell hit us as soon as we entered the building, and the place felt oppressive and dirty. We had codes for the main door and room lockbox, but there was no key in the box. The staff member was difficult to understand and mostly grunted, and made us fill out paperwork with driving licence numbers while trying to get passport details too. We’d booked and paid online, and I didn’t trust the reason for asking, so I put in false details. We finally got into the room 39 mins later, making us late for the show we were going to. The smell was overwhelming, and no photo could capture it. There was no hot water, and the shower was so bad I wouldn’t wash my dog in it, let alone myself. As a woman I didn’t feel safe, so I propped chairs against the door to sleep. The online photos make the place look completely different. After getting home, I had a strange call from a hotel guy demanding a video call to show him where the key drop of box I used was. There were no staff when we checked out, so we waited in the foyer for 5 mins, then found the box by the staff only ‘room’ (I suggest living area). Apparently they didn’t know where the box was. It felt suss, like they couldn’t take a bad review and were trying to imply I was still there so they could add charges. Disgusting experience, I felt soiled on the long drive home. I’d never recommend it. AVOID.

After travelling for several hours, my husband, elderly parents and I were left with nowhere to stay at 8:30pm. I’d booked and paid for an accessible ground floor apartment, and explained that my parents rely on oxygen to walk. The rude employees didn’t seem to care. The hotel was unstaffed when we arrived, and we had no entry code. When I called, an employee came to let us in, then said they had no accessible ground floor room, despite the apartment I’d been told was booked for me. She was no help, and the manager also confirmed there was no accessible room for my disabled guests. He expected my elderly father, using oxygen, to walk through a dark, dirty alleyway to another hotel. I went in his place, but that hotel couldn’t meet our requirements either, even though I’d been assured over the phone that they could. Save yourself the hassle and book a decent hotel. These people are heartless money grabbers.

The customer service was awful, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here. My husband and I booked from 1st_5th September and arrived about 4.30. We were told our ground floor flat was flat 14, but it was actually on the first floor. The stair lift wasn’t working, so we struggled up the stairs with our luggage, despite my husband’s bad feet and my bad back. Then the key box was empty. A lady answered when we knocked and said she wasn’t leaving until tomorrow. We called the number displayed on reception and were told someone would come in a few minutes, but we waited 30mins. A young man eventually arrived, called someone, and we couldn’t understand what he was saying. He pointed us up another flight of stairs. I asked him to carry our luggage, which he did, then he left. The next morning I met Josh, who was very nice and polite. I told him we couldn’t keep going up and down the stairs, and my husband had to come down on his bum. Josh said he’d sort it out, and he did, getting us a lovely ground floor flat. We were ready to go home if he hadn’t moved us, so thank you so much, Josh. Later, by the main door, we met a man and his teenage son who had no codes for any door. I gave him the number I’d called about our room. He rang it for over half an hour and got no answer, then left. The rooms were OK, but I wouldn’t book here again. It’s a NO NO.
