The Ivernia Hotel

Nichola made me a delicious bacon butty to take away since I didn’t have time for breakfast. The bacon was really thick and tasty. It was my second one-night stay on the way to Butlins, so that says a lot. She gave me a lovely welcome, showed me to my room and helped with my stuff. The radiator wasn’t heating, but she sorted it quickly. The place was impeccably clean, and the carpets felt like walking on air. My spacious single room had lots of sockets, hanging space and drawers, a stool, great bedding, comfy pillows and a lovely swanky bathroom mirror I want one of. The shower was great, though it’s a shame I wasn’t washing my hair. There was an amazing selection of tea and coffee, especially decaf. I spent a relaxing time lying on the bed watching TV, which felt like a luxury. Thanks for the chat, Nichola, and keep up the great work you’re all doing.

This is my second year staying here on the way to Butlins. The welcome was lovely and warm, and the rooms are clean and equipped with everything you need for one night or longer. It’s a short walk to both the seafront and town centre.

We’ve already booked again for next year after such a welcoming three-night stay at The Ivernia. Nicola and Simon should be proud of how they run the place, it really felt like home. We’re a family of four and everything worked well for all of us. Our family room was clean and stocked with tea, coffee and water. The food was lovely and cooked just right, even for our fussy group, and there was an amazing variety. After nearly 20 years of visiting Skegness as a family, we’ve never stayed anywhere so friendly and clean. We were very happy with the service and hospitality.

The rooms are modern and nicely furnished, and Nicola makes you feel like part of the family. It’s a lovely clean place with friendly staff and a great breakfast, a cut above most places in Skegness.
