The pub has real character and a lovely feel, and there are beautiful walks down to the canal. It has a nice village feel. The staff were pleasant, the food was nice, and the room was great, with the best bed ever, it was huge. They handled a minor issue very well. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

I sat outside with half a Young’s pale ale at this nice Marstons pub. It’s a beautiful-looking building, has weekend entertainment, and there’s a fairly big car park.

The drinks were refreshing, not flat, and the food came out hot and tasted amazing. Prices were reasonable too. Everyone was friendly from the moment we walked in until we left. Couldn’t fault the visit, would definitely recommend it, and we’ll be back soon.

Lovely people, and the food was REALLY excellent. The steaks, burgers and chips were great, and so were the wine and beer. We made the most of our one-night stay. If we’re ever in that neighbourhood again, we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was amazing. I loved the festive mac and cheese and the mint chocolate tart. Such a shame I couldn’t finish it, but I was completely full!
