The reservation was cancelled a few days before we were due to arrive. Maybe there was a genuine reason, but it wasn’t fair that I then had to pay more than double for a last-minute booking. I had no choice, or I’d have lost all the other costs, including flights. What really made me leave this review was the rude, unprofessional response when I knocked at the door. I was simply turned away and told to contact the booking site. Very rude. No, never again.
New management has made some big improvements, and they’re clearly still working on more. The new fittings are good quality and lift the decor, the paintwork is crisp, and it’s a decent central spot at a fair price for no-frills accommodation. It doesn’t stink of cat pee anymore, and there are no cats here now. The road is busy, but what do you expect west of the city? It has more character than the big chains, and manager Mark is always around. Good value, moving in the right direction.
I’ve had great stays every time. The location is ideal and the prices are competitive.
For the price, this is a great little hotel. Mark and the rest of the staff are very friendly. I fly regularly, and it’s handy for getting to airport parking. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, so it’s excellent value.
At 44 quid through Booking.com, this was unbeatable value. Check-in was easy, the room was decent, and the bed was comfy. They supplied toiletries too. Best bit, there was real milk for my morning coffee, not powder. The owner was friendly as well. Top notch.
