The Pinewood Hotel

The reception team were lovely and the room was decent, with fair rates in a nice countryside setting. Breakfast was the letdown. It was ordered individually rather than served as a buffet, and there were no vegan choices. About five other guests and I asked for a sausage without pork, but they didn't have one. My full English came with an omelette-style egg and bacon that wasn't cooked as much as I wanted, despite asking for a well-done fried egg. When I sent it back, I clearly heard the chef tell the waiter, “no more stupid orders.” The kitchen is inside the restaurant, so it was hard to miss, and it made for an unpleasant atmosphere. I stayed over the weekend just gone.

Our Mendhi at Pinewood Hotel was a wonderful event. Omar was a great help on the day, answering our questions and keeping the evening running smoothly. Rienna made the booking process easy too, responding to all my questions about hiring the venue. They were both professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you both!

The restaurant food was really good, and the staff were friendly and keen to help. There's plenty of parking, and the rooms aren't too noisy. The air con can get a little loud at times, though not enough to be a problem. The place is a bit dated, and the hot water wasn't particularly hot. Still, for what I paid I can't complain. If you need a hotel near pinewood, this does the job.

I ended up here after being stranded at Heathrow for two days in July. I'd wanted somewhere closer, but booked through Hotwire because the price was excellent, and it's only about a 30-minute Uber ride each way. The hotel was quiet and relaxing, with lovely grounds and a really good restaurant on site. I even picked raspberries during a walk, and they didn't charge me for them.
