The room was quiet and dark at night, so I slept really well. The annex room was handy too, with easy access for coming and going early or late, and the host showed me in when I arrived. For one person, that bed was enormous. Tea, coffee, towels and shower supplies were provided. The only small issue was the ensuite: the light switch had come away from the ceiling, and when I turned on the shower, water burst out above the shower head and soaked the floor. The location was great for the NEC, about 15 minutes away.

The place looked gorgeous inside, all pretty and pink, and the girls were looked after by lots of staff. My daughter had her 7th birthday pamper party there and loved it. They had face masks, hair colour, nails, glitter tattoos, a foot spa, time to relax and afternoon tea served with plastic flutes. Little flip-flops, headbands and robes were provided too. The mums all said their children thought it was the best party ever. A perfect little girly party, would absolutely recommend. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday so special :) x x x

Amy gave me a neck, back and shoulder massage and did a fantastic job. She checked that I was comfortable throughout and asked about the pressure, which felt just right, neither too hard nor too soft. She was lovely, and had water ready for me when I came out. Highly recommend.

We booked Sunday afternoon tea and had a really good experience. The food was fresh, high quality and plentiful, and they asked about dietary needs and catered for them. The tea and coffee were excellent, with decaf as well as regular, and there was also a selection of alcohol. Staff were warm, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and discreet. The place is a small property among residential houses, used as a spa and a hire venue with a decent amount of space. There are sheltered booths outside and some open seating, plus a hot tub that we didn't try, so I can't comment on it. Everything, including the toilet, was spotless and tidy, even after a children's party just before us. There are two spaces by the front door and plenty of curbside parking. We'd happily go back and recommend it.

We had breakfast at The Wilsons around the corner. The children's meals were £1 each, which worked for both breakfast and dinner, though the adult breakfast was £6.99 and coffee cost another £2.50 per person for bottomless refills. We stayed two nights at Achill House in October 2024, my husband and I in a double room and our daughter with her three young children in the family room. Mary and the staff made us feel welcome. The rooms were comfortable and suited us well, with lots of thoughtful extras and amenities. We spent one evening in a garden booth and another in the lounge, both pleasant. I had a look around the spa areas and thought they were special. Parking and wifi are free. Next time I might book a treatment, and we will certainly return. Thanks, Mary and staff.
