The staff were warm and friendly, and the hotel was nicely decorated. Our room package included dinner and breakfast, though the view over the car park and motorway wasn't great. The fish and chips tasted good, but there was a lot of grease on the plate. Breakfast was decent, but the stay felt a bit pricey overall.

The rooms were cute, spotless, and had everything we needed. We chose this hotel for its airport shuttle and its location near the airport, where we had to pick up our car the next day. Our bags didn't arrive with us, which was a real disappointment, but everyone we met at the Dakota was so kind and made us feel looked after. A few staff even suggested places to find clothes better than the Tesco next door. We were really pleased with the hotel and its lovely staff.

Having parking right at the hotel made our trip much easier, and the restaurant was a real highlight, with tasty food and a welcoming feel. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help throughout our stay. From the moment I arrived, the hotel felt comfortable and welcoming. It's about a 20-minute drive from central Edinburgh, but the comfort and service made up for that. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The team looked after us brilliantly from check-in to the end of our stay, and the service in the bar and restaurant was impeccable morning and night. We didn't eat there, but enjoyed the drinks, even if they were on the expensive side. We stayed Monday and Tuesday in room 519. It was spotless, well equipped, and made up for us, with water and bathroom supplies replenished without us having to ask. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. Thanks to the staff for taking such good care of us. We hope to see them again when we return.

The Sunday lunch was excellent, easily the best we'd had in a long time. We had three courses, and since it was our anniversary, they treated us to complimentary Champagne. The service was exceptional, with at least three staff members helping us, and the chocolate Happy Anniversary plate with Turkish delight and chocolates was a lovely touch. We chose Sunday late lunch with Bed & Breakfast after receiving a Dinner Bed & Breakfast voucher and deciding to stay Sunday to Monday. Reception gave us a friendly welcome and all the details we needed. The room was clean and had everything for our stay. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the service was excellent too.
