The lobster was delicious, and that's what made dinner worthwhile. Otherwise, I found it a little disappointing after hearing this was the place for seafood. Kirkwall has other good spots for fish and chips, and you don't need to go somewhere fancy to get a good portion on Orkney. I'm guessing the steak is good too.

We stopped for lunch after visiting The Tomb of the Eagles. The staff were very friendly, and the seafood was amazing. The scallops were huge and tasted fantastic with smoked sea salt. The half lobster was the biggest and best tasting we've had. I was told it had been out of the sea for only 20 minutes, and I've no reason to doubt that. I wouldn't want to meet that lobster while swimming! Skip the chips, they're not good, but who cares with seafood this fresh?

We all had the best meal of our trip. My family chose seafood pasta, fresh fish, and steak, while I had the delicious lobster. Everything was high quality and immensely tasty, with lots of options. The fresh seafood and lovely atmosphere made for a wonderful meal.

The food was amazing, and the restaurant and bar at The Murray Arms make a beautiful setting for it. We went for lunch on 21st August after seeing the great reviews and tempting menu. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, looked after us so well, and made a real fuss of Bruce, which he loved. I was there with my husband Scott and our pug, and we'd thoroughly recommend it for a lovely seafood lunch or dinner. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to the whole fab bunch for being so kind!

Had a fantastic chowder in a quaint setting, honestly some of the best I've ever had. Thanks for the kind, good service. I hope to come back soon, try more of the fabulous seafood, and enjoy it all again.
