ibis Southampton Centre

I've been coming here almost regularly for about eight years, and not once have I been disappointed. I stayed six days this time. The room was comfortable and had a nice view, but the ladies working here are what make it such a good stay. They're always welcoming and go out of their way to help where they can. Thanks, ladies, for the fantastic stay and all the laughs. I look forward to coming back. Keep up the great work and service, you deserve a raise after all you did for me. I slept in the cold because the room stayed at a fixed 17°C, and the extra heater was too weak to warm it at all. That made the stay uncomfortable and unpleasant. For what I paid, I don't think this is acceptable for guests. I'm really disappointed and hope the hotel manager addresses the temperature problem. Thank you.

We stayed one night before our cruise, and the view of the cruise ships at the docks was awesome. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and I enjoyed a good cold pint. For the money, I can hardly fault it, though breakfast was a little disappointing for its price since I've had better elsewhere for the same sort of cost. It's a decent budget-friendly hotel, with shops and some good bars and pubs within walking distance, right on your doorstep.

The view was fantastic, especially when there was a cruise ship to see. The rooms were clean and tidy, though the TV was on the small side. Staff were lovely, polite and extremely helpful with storing medication. All in all, a decent stay and hotel. I'd return and recommend it to others.
