The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast came hot with time to sit and relax. It was easy to find from the station, and the staff were lovely. We had dinner too. Maria and Chris were busy but still made time to talk with everyone. The bartender in a black and white bandana, whose name I didn’t get, was excellent and made me two lovely cocktails.

We’ve used this place as a base several times and will be back. It’s clean and tidy, with friendly, welcoming staff, lovely food and a nice bar area. The lady who checked us in was lovely, though I didn’t get her name. The barman at the front of house was helpful too, and Maria served our dinner with such a polite and kind manner.

The staff were genuinely pleasant and helpful, and breakfast was really nice and well prepared, easily the best part of my stay. One small thing: being asked at breakfast what time I planned to eat dinner felt unnecessary and a little rushed while I was still being welcomed. The rooms at Premier Inn Cumberland Place in Southampton felt dated, and some furniture, including the chairs, was broken. That hurt both comfort and the overall impression. The rooms could do with a proper refresh, and smoother interactions would improve the experience.

The location was great, and the room was nice. We struggled with self check-in until a staff member showed up and got it sorted. Unfortunately, the bed was much too soft for me, and I didn’t sleep at all.

There’s no on-site parking, so I left the car in a multi-storey around the corner. The room was clean and comfortable. Dinner was very good value, with deals on drinks and cocktails, and the Premier Inn breakfast was as good as ever.
