On our second visit, Jane and Andy put on a complimentary two-course meal and a bottle of wine on Saturday night. It really was complimentary, and made for a great weekend. We stayed two nights from 13th February and will definitely be back again this year. The full English breakfast sets you up for the day too. We first visited in October 2025 and were very pleased with our stay. The location is perfect, close to Lord Street for shops, restaurants and bars. Jane and Andy are great hosts, and the rooms are spotless. Thank you so much, Jane and Andy.

The room was lovely and very clean, with tea, coffee and biscuits provided each day. The hosts made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Thank you for a great weekend, we’ll definitely be back.

The Bowden Lodge is cosy and feels like home. The rooms are lovely and everywhere is so clean. Jayne and Andy were welcoming and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. I had a fantastic time at my Christmas party and would happily stay here again. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you, Jayne and Andy.

Andy and Jane were so welcoming, and the food was excellent. We had a splendid group lunch in the function room, with everything beautifully presented. Just delightful!

The booking process came with plenty of communication, and our orders were all right. There were 16 of us for the Christmas Buffet Lunch, with lots of food and takeaway boxes provided. The room was cozy, decorated for Christmas, and had music playing. Staff were attentive without hovering, and nobody hurried us out. There’s a car park plus plenty of free street parking. I’d book again!
