Our Superior Superking Room with Shower, room eight, was spacious, nicely appointed, and private. Mirella, our breakfast server, was engaging and attentive. Breakfast was plentiful, though at busy times items such as scrambled eggs can run out and the wait can be unnecessarily long. They know how many guests are staying, so they should be better prepared. We stayed one night before taking the ferry to France. The hotel is within walking distance of the coast, the D-Day museum, and other interesting places, while Gunwharf Quays and the Naval Dockyards are a short drive away. Parking is limited, so reserve ahead; it costs £10 a night and is right outside the hotel, which was convenient with luggage. It was a very pleasant stay, and I’d happily come back.

The on-site restaurant was a real highlight, with excellent food in a relaxed, welcoming setting. It was handy to eat there after a day out. At the Florence Boutique Hotel Portsmouth, the staff were kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout, including with local suggestions that improved our visit. The whole stay felt personal and well cared for, with thoughtful attention to detail. A charming place.

The location makes a great base for nearby attractions or shopping at Gunwharf Quays, and we’ll be back, hopefully for longer next time. We’ve had another very enjoyable stay. The staff are brilliant, breakfast is spot on, and the evening restaurant on site is a great added bonus. Excellent hotel.

We were visiting family and stayed here. The rooms are lovely, the staff are great, and the food is brilliant. The evening meal was so good, and breakfast was the best I’ve had.

The room was clean and cosy, and the seafront was a great distance away. Breakfast was really delicious, with what felt like good quality ingredients. I had to rush off at 7.30am, so the lovely, accommodating staff let me place my breakfast order the night before, which really helped and put me at ease. They also kept my luggage for the day, which was super helpful. Thank you!
