The New Rushcart inn

Charlie made me feel at home, which meant a lot since I sometimes get intense social anxiety in new places, especially on my own. I’d been out for a stroll with my partner, but they were busy, so I decided to treat myself to a cold pint or two. I asked for something I’d like and went with the Rushcart best. The pour was so skilful, right to the top, and the beer was in my hand in seconds. Charlie kept cracking jokes the whole time, and I was still laughing on the walk home. The service and location make the journey worth it, and I’d say it’s absolutely worth a visit. Thanks, Charlie, for a time I won’t forget.

We spent two nights here, and the family now running the inn and pub were wonderful. The food, drinks and service were all top notch. It’s about a 30-minute walk into town, but the countryside views are spectacular.

We had two enjoyable evening meals in the pub, and the warm welcome made us feel at ease. Our room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed. It’s on the edge of town, but still easy to get to.

I was here for work and would gladly come back in my own time. The young guy behind the bar was a great lad and a real asset to the place. I stayed on 19/01/26, and he was so attentive. A great stay!
