Woodhouse Farm Lodge

I use the pool and love this place. Emma is awesome with the treatments, everything is very clean, and all the staff are a delight. I’d thoroughly recommend it.

The staff I met were lovely, and it’s a lovely place, but thin walls and roadworks made for a noisy stay. The restrictions on the pool and other facilities weren’t good either. We had to leave because of the noise, yet the manager refused to refund the two nights we’d already paid for. I wouldn’t recommend the place or go back.

The staff were lovely. Abbie at reception was especially friendly and helpful, and the others were great too. The hotel was very clean, nicely designed, and our bedroom was lovely. The facilities were good, and although the pool is small, it was adequate. You have to book a slot, but my wife had it all to herself, which was a bonus. Breakfast was a welcome change from a hot buffet. We ordered the night before and chose a time, then it was cooked fresh when we came into the dining room. We’d asked for a room away from the nearby main road when booking. It’s not right beside the road, and we didn’t notice the traffic at all. In my experience, phoning the hotel directly is the best way to book, since you can explain what you need more easily and they always answer. The rooms aren’t very soundproof, though. I could hear someone snoring next door, perhaps they were exceptionally loud, but better soundproofing would be a good investment. I’d rate the stay about four and a half stars. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area, a definite cut above chain hotels.

We spent two nights here and couldn’t have asked for a better break. The pool was lovely, and the hot tub was a bonus. The ladies on staff were amazing, so polite and well mannered, with bright smiles. They looked after us very well and fulfilled every request.
