David and Carol looked after us so well and made us feel very welcome. Dave’s storytelling was a real treat. The property was exceptionally clean and finished to a high standard, and Mevagissey Harbour is close by. There’s a car park a minute away that costs £6 a day. We can’t wait to return. Thank you!

We were lucky to be the first guests in number 8, Blue Mackerel. The balcony and clever use of space made the small room feel surprisingly roomy, and everything was modern and spotless. I especially liked the bedside lamps and all the thoughtful details. Our hosts were friendly and ready to help with anything. It’s a good-value place for couples in lovely Mevagissey, and we’d gladly stay again on our next Cornwall trip.

We got a very warm welcome, and the accommodation was spotless, with towels, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee provided. It’s an easy walk to the harbour and the side streets, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan are reachable on foot or with a short drive. It works well for a night or a week.

Really good value for a lovely, well-fitted room that was immaculately clean. The owners were lovely too. It was easy to find, with a huge car park nearby, and only a short walk into Mevagissey.

The shared bathroom might sound like a concern, but it was spacious, clean and well equipped. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and staying in the owner’s own home gave the place more of an Airbnb feel, with very warm hospitality. It’s a minute from the bus stop for St Austell and a five-minute walk to the harbour.
