Silvermine House

The location worked really well, and Asda is only about five minutes away for a big shop. Inside, the house was spotless, with lovely bedrooms and beautiful views. Sonya and Paul were fantastic hosts. The kitchen had everything we needed, plus a delicious cream tea and two bottles of wine waiting when we arrived. We also made good use of the games room and gym, especially the pool table, console and jukebox. You can bring your own vinyl or CDs to play. Faultless.

We had such a relaxing holiday and would definitely come back. The kids loved it, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. There was plenty of local information about places like the beaches. The property was well equipped, with a games room, gym and hot tub.

Watching the sunrise from the hot tub with a cup of tea was the highlight for me. I also loved sitting on the bench at night with the blankets provided, listening to the sea. On Christmas Eve we walked along the coast down to the village, where we had a great sausage roll and hot chocolates. The views on the walk were phenomenal. We booked Silvermine at the last minute after Boris cancelled Christmas for most of the UK. Our original trip to Lincoln was called off on the Saturday night before Christmas. After losing my job that year and taking a leap of faith to start my own business, we just wanted a break from the covid world after a year that had been stressful but successful. Seeing the photos and location had us excited, but when we arrived, the view took my breath away and I immediately felt less stressed. The kids were thrilled to have so much room to play hide and seek, and they loved the games area. My eldest was especially taken with the games room and gym. We were welcomed with Champagne and scones. The house is large but still feels homely, with everything on hand to feel at home. It was immaculate, modern and spacious, with loads of views, bathrooms, a log burner, and real peace and quiet. Sonia and Paul were wonderful before and during our stay. You can tell how much care and thought they've put into the place. Thank you, Silvermine, for giving us the Christmas we really needed and helping us make memories with the children. We'll definitely be back.

There were twelve of us, and we had plenty of room in this beautiful, comfortable house. The views were lovely, and it was furnished with great taste. We really didn't want to leave and would happily stay again.
