Bethsaida B&B

Poppit Sands and the cliff paths are well worth making time for, and parking nearby was easy. The village shop is well stocked, and everyone around St Dogmaels was welcoming. We also enjoyed dinner at The Ferry Inn. We’d arrived early for the nearby Do Lectures, and Jo and the team at Bethsaida made us feel at home straight away. They were easy to reach and helpful with our questions and special requests. The rooms were spotless, nicely fitted out, and stocked with good products. Parking is the main thing to keep in mind. We found a spot on the hill beside the B&B, but if those spaces are taken, you might have to drive around town for a while. Otherwise, it’s an adorable place in St. Dogmaels, within easy walking distance of some local restaurants and pubs. Our double room, "Mewl," had a king size bed and an ensuite. Breakfast was delicious, with a view over the lovely, well-kept garden. Cardigan is only about a 10 minute drive away.

The owners are so helpful, they really complete the experience. This former chapel has been turned into a gorgeous, inventive place to stay, and it feels wonderfully different. Each room has its own character, with pews converted into beds and colourful original chapel windows. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining area, and you can sign the visitors book at the pulpit. It’s ideally placed for seeing this outstanding location.

Poppit Sands is within walking distance, and there’s plenty to explore around this pretty area. We had a lovely stay, felt warmly welcomed, and found everything very clean.
