Getting into central St Ives was easy, with a 10-minute bus ride or just 7 minutes by train. At Halwell Lodge, the garden and dining room, with its vintage furniture, made for a relaxed, charming setting. Breakfast was my favourite part. It was freshly prepared each day, with orders taken the day before as part of their sustainable approach. I especially liked the full Cornish breakfast, along with fresh coffee, assorted fruit, warm croissants, and what I think was homemade bread. A lovely, memorable stay.

The hosts made us feel so welcome at Howell Lodge. Our room was cosy and spotless, and the setting was peaceful, though St Ives centre is only minutes away. The location worked perfectly for us. Highly recommended!

Tressa and Steve were so friendly, kind, and easy to talk to. My husband, son, and I stayed for two days and felt at home straight away. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely amazing. We couldn't have picked a better place, and we'd happily stay again. I highly recommend them!

We only wish we'd booked a longer stay. Tessa and Steve were such friendly, helpful hosts, and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. The garden, dining area, parking, service, and accommodation were all outstanding. This is the best B&B we've ever stayed in, and we'd recommend it very highly.

The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Tressa and Steve were perfect hosts, and they easily catered for my wife's gluten-free diet. We also appreciated being offered fresh milk for the tea and coffee in our room. We had the spacious family room for one night. It was spotless, very comfortable, and had lots of storage and an ensuite. There's no shower, but the spectacular vintage-style copper bath more than made up for that. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and hope to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay. A&H Wilson.
