The White Hart

We were made so welcome at this lovely local pub. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I'd absolutely recommend it and come back.

I went in with my girlfriend and her daughter, who had never been down to Cornwall before. I usually go to this pub after football, and we came in for some food, a drink and a game of pool. While I was setting up the table, I heard staff saying to send us to the public toilets and asking why we were there if we weren't getting drinks. Once I had the table set up, they wouldn't give me the white ball because I hadn't ordered yet. I had two menus in my hands, and they got another customer to tell me he'd sort the table out if I ordered. Very, very rude. They also made a young girl uncomfortable about using a toilet. Disgusting behaviour, especially having someone who doesn't even work there tell me he'd sort out the table if I bought a beer. They've lost customers, and I hope no one else has the same experience. I won't be going again.

We stumbled on this quaint little pub today when we were looking for a Sunday roast, and what a lovely surprise. The lunch was absolutely delicious, with generous portions at very reasonable prices. Fantastic service too. This place is a hidden gem, and we'll definitely be back.

We come back to The White Hart every September when we spend two weeks in Cadgwith, Cornwall, and have eaten there many times over the years. I'm vegetarian, and the food is always tasty and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and efficient. We'll return again.
