The Dorm Bed and Breakfast

We were away for a mum and daughter weekend and loved coming back to the Dorm after our day out. Imogen has put together a cosy, comfortable place with everything we needed. The nice furnishings, great breakfast and all the little extras made it feel special. We're already looking for a reason to return.

A quiet countryside break was exactly what we wanted, and this small, welcoming place was spotless and beautifully put together. There's a subtle school theme, and so many thoughtful bits around the place: fresh daffodils outside by the entrance, jam, cream and scones, milk, homemade cookies, flowers on the dining table, fresh fruit and ground coffee in the fridge. We also found a handwritten welcome and a chalkboard greeting. By the door there's a box with warm hats for him and her, a hot water bottle, blanket and umbrella. Breakfast was tasty, filling and nicely presented, with plenty of choice. The kitchen also had several cereals, teas and coffees ready to go. Imogen replied to messages quickly and gave us helpful advice about the area. She's friendly and approachable, and it's clear she cares about how guests feel. A lovely stay.

There were lots of individual touches at this lovely little B&B, from the flowers to the cake and cookies, and plenty of nods to its history. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, plus more. Just got home and already hope to get another chance to stay. Thanks for being so welcoming, Imogen.

For my boyfriend's birthday, I booked us a night at The Dorm B&B on the way to the Lakes. Imogen made it feel so special, with a candlelit entrance, a delicious breakfast and a birthday cake. The accommodation, setting and hosts were all lovely. We'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend it without hesitation :)
