The room service breakfast was a lovely extra, and the location made a perfect starting point for exploring nearby. Our host welcomed us warmly and was happy to let us arrive early. The rooms could use updating, but the value was great and the location worked perfectly for us.

The food was full of flavour and beautifully put together, and Nelio's suggestions were right on the mark. He's the owner and clearly knows his wine and fine dining. We were welcomed into the cosy bar as soon as we arrived, and the relaxed but elegant setting made our evening at The Candlestick in Stamford a memorable one. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it.

The landlord stayed up for my late arrival and even helped with my bags. I spent the week in two rooms, changing to a twin when my mum joined me. Both were spotless, with comfortable beds and roomy en-suites. Parking was easy, either in the hotel's own car park or for free on nearby streets. Highly recommend!

Nelio is a real gem, down to earth and very knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and practical, but the restaurant is the highlight. Looking forward to coming back to try more of his food.

At short notice, this little hotel in the heart of Stamford was just what we needed. Nelio, I think that was his name, made us feel so welcome, found us a room and cooked dinner as soon as we arrived. It's older in style, but had all the charm and amenities we needed that evening. Thanks from some very happy guests!
