Mays Cottage Bed and Breakfast

The woods nearby are beautiful, with squirrels, roe deer, and foxes, and Chithurst Buddhist monastery is close too, a peaceful place of contemplation for visitors. I had a wonderful stay in a quiet, lovely setting. Zoe was kind and helped with everything I needed. I’d come back without hesitation.

The self-contained room is separate from the main house, so you can come and go as you like. Zoe was very friendly and welcoming. We were visiting relatives and the location worked well between them. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, the hot water plentiful, and the WiFi speedy. Breakfast was served in the room: three cereals to choose from, tea or coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh croissants that may have been homemade, and toast. It felt more homely than a Premier Inn and was great value with breakfast included. There’s a pub right across the road. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We slept so well, it was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was generous and tasty, and Zoe and her husband made us feel very welcome. At Mays B and B the room was spotless, cosy and comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and would happily come back.

Zoe was warm, helpful and friendly, and breakfast came on two trays, fresh and very filling. The rooms were tidy and really clean, with a fab bathroom. It’s a lovely place to stay, though having your own transport would make things easier. We’d definitely return and would recommend it.
